The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it is actually alarmed with regards to the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant range of clients/beneficiaries to status sassa access SASSA services.
“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The company SRD stage developed for intervention encounters a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to permit the servicing of all consumers and boost access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
